Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police are seeking your help in identifying the suspect involved in a bank robbery that occurred on Montreal Road in Ottawa.
On the 2nd of September 2008 a lone male suspect entered the Bank of Montreal at 470 Montreal Road located on the corner of St. Laurent Boulevard. He joined the line-up but left before being served. Later he returned and this time, on reaching the teller, he pulled a gun and demanded that money be placed in a white plastic grocery bag that he had placed on the counter. The teller took money from her cash drawer and placed it in the bag. The suspect calmly took the bag and the cash and left the bank. He was last seen walking eastbound on Montreal Road.
The male suspect was white, 30 to 36 years of age, and stood approximately 5'10" in height. He weighed about 190 to 210 lbs. His hair was short and appeared to be reddish blonde. He spoke English without any apparent accent.
The suspect was wearing a dark colored baseball cap with sunglasses perched on top. His jacket was a white-sleeved green hooded type with "Corona Extra " printed on the back.
He wore grey shirt, blue jean shorts below the knee, white socks and dark colored "Nike" basketball shoes.
